What We Do

We’re a web and logo design studio with a flair for minimal and intentional design.

We work with passionate creatives and small businesses who are daring enough to go after their dreams.

We want to help you create your dream website. You have a vision and we have the tools to make it happen. With Carrie’s eye for design and symmetry and Kyle’s creativity and love of coding, we offer the whole design package. We will work with you one-on-one to craft a unique website that showcases your vision and your brand.

Who We Are

Hi! We’re Carrie and Kyle Goodman, a creative couple from Texas. We’re currently in Northwest Florida, raising our 3 kids and trying to live the simple life (we’d love to get back to the Houston area soon, though). Our dream is to build a tiny house, buy some land and start an animal sanctuary, and build more tiny spaces so we can start an eco-friendly B&B (while leaving some room for couchsurfers from all over the world). That’s why we do what we do for other creatives; it’s about creating the lifestyle we want so we can pursue all of our passions, and we want to help you do that, too.

We met while working at a major bookstore, and it was love at first sight. We’re both beach and wine lovers, minimalists, Doctor Who fans (Whovians), and avid readers.

Hi, I’m Kyle,

the web developer, logo designer, and writer. I started coding in high school, then later took the Skillcrush Web Developer Blueprint course, along with teaching myself WordPress. I use my love of coding to put those custom touches on the websites we create. I also love to draw, and I’m always coming up with new logo concepts, as well as writing most of our blog posts.

Fun Facts:

I’m from a small coastal Texas town, so the ocean is in my blood. I used to work at a coffee shop and I make an awesome caramel macchiato, but my favorite drink is an iced triple shot espresso. My favorite book is “The House of Leaves”, which is a challenging but worthwhile read (my next tattoo is even inspired by it). I want to inspire others to seek more out of life and to stray from the mundane.

,Hey, I’m Carrie,

the creative director and web designer (although I wear a bunch of hats). After years in retail merchandising and management, I got started in web design when I took the Skillcrush Web Designer Blueprint course; then I took it once step further by learning WordPress. I’ve always had an eye for design (including customizing my MySpace page back in the day). Now I love to help other creative entrepreneurs and businesses get their dream website.

Fun Facts:

I’m a native Texan who’s obsessed with the ocean. I’m an introverted, vegan, minimalist who enjoys coffee every morning, a good book (my favorite series is “The Chronicles of Narnia”, which I’ve read several times), and wine by the beach. I’m passionate about the environment, simple living, travel, and helping other creatives live their dream life.

Our Mission

Here at Salt Inspired Design, we believe in being The Greater Good. Our passion is helping people through both our design services and “extravagant generosity”, where we keep only what we need and give away the rest. Giving to causes that stir our hearts is something that is very important to us.

As we develop relationships with various charities, whether that’s an ocean conservation organization or just spending time with someone who is in need of a good meal, we will be highlighting those charities and adventures on our blog so you can see what we are up to as we set out on our journey. Or you can contact us to find out more!
